1969 edition of Ett Hem by Carl Larsson, first published in 1899. Its watercolours of family life and interiors brought international recognition to Lilla Hyttnäs, the home Carl and Karin Larsson created together. Karin played a central role, designing furniture and textiles influenced by the British Arts and Crafts movement and Swedish folk traditions. Their bold colours, bright rooms and warm family atmosphere contrasted with the dark, heavy interiors of the late 19th century. One of Sweden's most famous homes, Lilla Hyttnäs remains a symbol of Swedish design.
