Four hand-carved and hand-painted stone fruits, made between 60 and 100 years ago. Chisel marks are sometimes visible, as are black marble veins beneath the paint. The colours have softened with time. Stone fruits first appeared in the Victorian period and became particularly popular after the Second World War.
